Emergency First Aid at Work (1 Day)
£90 PP
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) typically includes an overview of legal and organisational responsibilities, the role and duties of the appointed first aider, risk assessment and casualty priorities, the primary survey and recognising danger, practical resuscitation principles (including CPR and the use of an automated external defibrillator), management of choking, severe bleeding and shock, treatment of minor injuries such as burns, fractures and sprains, head and eye injuries, record keeping and incident reporting, plus practical, scenario-based training and assessment methods; courses also cover course aims and learning outcomes, training materials, candidate assessment criteria, certification and renewal requirements and basic guidance on when to call for emergency medical assistance.
Corporate Emergency First Aid at Work
£400
We deliver Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) training specifically for corporate clients, tailored to your workplace risk profile, shift patterns and delegate needs; the one-day course covers the primary survey, CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED) use, recovery position, choking, severe bleeding, shock, minor injuries and record-keeping, all taught through practical scenarios and demonstrations. Our experienced instructors align training with the employer's duties under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and current guidance from the HSE, ensuring delegates gain the confidence and competence to respond to emergencies until further medical help arrives. Courses are available on-site or at our training centre, scheduled flexibly to minimise business disruption, with typical group sizes that maximise hands-on practice and assessment. Successful delegates receive a certificate valid for three years, and we offer refresher options and post-course materials to help embed learning and support compliance. Paediatric First Aid
£150 PP
A paediatric first aid course covers the essential skills and knowledge needed to recognise and respond to childhood illness and injury, including infant and child CPR, the recovery position, choking management, control of bleeding, treatment of burns and scalds, suspected fractures and head injuries, and how to manage febrile convulsions, anaphylaxis and asthma attacks; it also teaches how to assess a casualty, when and how to call emergency services (999), and the safe use of adrenaline auto‑injectors and AEDs for children. Training typically combines short theory sessions with practical, hands‑on practice using manikins and scenario‑based exercises, plus guidance on prevention, record‑keeping, consent and legal/responsibility issues relevant to childcare settings. Courses usually include an assessment and provide a certificate on successful completion (commonly valid for around three years), and they emphasise clear communication with parents, carers and emergency responders as well as ongoing refresher training to maintain confidence and competence.
Fire safety Training
£120 PP
Including Fire Marshal training as part of your wider fire safety programme ensures that nominated staff understand their responsibilities in an emergency and helps demonstrate compliance with UK fire safety law; the training should cover hazard recognition and risk assessment, alarm procedures, evacuation leadership and accountability, safe use of portable fire extinguishers, communication with the fire and rescue service and accurate record‑keeping, together with regular practical drills and refresher sessions. Tailored to the specific workplace layout and hazards and delivered by competent instructors, Fire Marshal training improves response times, reduces risk to people and property, clarifies roles and responsibilities for duty holders, and strengthens the overall effectiveness of your fire safety arrangements.
